ATSS Awards

In GPA calculations for Academic Awards all courses must be taken at ATSS, the following courses will not be used in the calculation: Distance Learning Courses, Language Challenge Courses, Summer School Courses, UFV Courses, and Work Experience Courses.

Graduating with Great Distinction
Students in grade 12 must achieve 90% or higher in all courses in their grade 12 year, calculated by using Semester One “final marks” and Semester Two and Linear “marks” within a week of Convocation. 

Graduating with Distinction
Students in grade 12 must achieve an 86% “average” in all courses in their grade 12, calculated by using Semester One “final marks” and Semester Two and Linear “marks” within a week of Convocation. 

Principal’s List
Students must achieve 90% or more in all courses in the school year. Based on final marks and awarded in the following year.

Honour Roll Award
Students must achieve an overall average of 80% in all courses per semester.  Awarded at term end.

  • Students must have a 80% or higher average.
  • Students may not have a failing grade in any class.
  • Students must have a G or an S in the work habit column for all courses (an N work habit will disqualify you).
  • Students must have a full course load (9 ATSS Courses which includes Homeroom).

Effort Roll Award
Students must achieve all G’s (Good) for “Work Habit” in every course per semester. Awarded at semester end.

Awards Awarded Annually at the June Awards Night:

Athlete of the Year
Student must demonstrate strong athletic ability, sportsmanship, leadership, and participation on at least two extracurricular teams.

Citizenship Award
Student must demonstrate respect for school rules and expectations, working with others, respect of differences, polite manners, kindness and honesty.

Digital Literacy Award
Criteria to be developed.

Essayist Award
Criteria to be developed.

Fine and Performing Arts Award
Criteria to be developed.

Leadership Award
Criteria to be developed.

Top Student in Each Course
Based on final course mark.

Scholar of the Year in Each Grade
Based on final course mark in all academic courses.

School District Award
The top academic student in Grade 9 receives a School District Award of $75.00

Sportsmanship Award
Based on final course mark.
